Are you feeling overwhelmed with anxiety, life changes, or transitions?

We all feel blocked at times from living a healthy, fulfilling life for reasons that originate both within and outside of ourselves. Having the self-awareness and courage to take the first step of reaching out for help is challenging. I am here to offer a collaborative and non-judgmental space for you to start your journey of wellness and self-discovery.

I offer individual therapy for adults and adolescents as well as relationship therapy.

  • “Lauren is a wealth of information."

"I send her a lot of referrals for couples therapy, for people that have battled with trauma, and patients in the LGBTQ community. She's just really good—she just sees things from different angles and perspectives.”

    -Nikki Calloway, Mental Health Therapist

  • "Lauren is in the LGBTQIA community herself and is very open and accepting."

"Anyone who is in that community, and maybe has not done great with mental health therapy, is in good hands with Lauren. I've sent a couple kiddos that are transgender or non-binary to her that need mental health therapy. She’s someone who understands and is open and accepting in that community."

    -Dr. Sam Parkhurst, PT, DPT

My approach to therapy is differentiated based on individual needs and personal goals.

I often find that it evolves as the therapy process unfolds. My perspective is both person-centered and solution-focused, working to give you a greater sense of agency in your present and future challenges.

We will together examine relationship and behavioral patterns to gain insight and inform your active role in the changes you would like to see in your life.

Therapy can provide the support you need in this process and a reminder that you do not have to do this alone.

I incorporate mindfulness-based treatment that, when appropriate and recommended, can lead to evidence-based hypnotherapy for healing, enlightenment, and self-regulation. My primary area of focus is anxiety, specific to panic and the physical symptoms that can cause you to feel detached and not in control of your physical or emotional state.

I also have a focus in LGBTQ+-related issues with a strong interest in working with shame and vulnerability within this community.

I invite you to show up and let yourself be seen and heard in a safe space.

In my 10 years as a provider in the mental health field, I have gained experience in the university setting, residential treatment, crisis intervention, and private practice. I have prioritized cultural competency through my experience in working with clients of diverse backgrounds.

I earned my master's degree from Kent State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

If you feel that my professional background is a good fit for you…

…and the concerns you would like to bring to therapy, I encourage you to reach out. I look forward to working with you!
